It always pays to find out from other members of the crew 
"What's happening?" This way you can keep up to date with the
latest events. You won't always find out what's actually 
happening, but whether it be the engineering crew unhappy about
human experiments, or the medical crew fighting against the 
latest radiation victims, at least you'll know something. 
Remember, knowledge is power.
